chukker, Spain got ahead 1-0 thanks to a move by Pascal Sainz,
who recovered the ball in the middle of the field. In the second
chukker Ignacio Domeq increased the lead for Spain. At the
end of the 3rd chukker Spain was leading 4 - 0. However, Toledo
and Gustavo Siquini Caio starred in the 4th chukker onwards to
stop the Spanish attack. By the end of the 5th chukker

April 29, 2008
Mexico (Home team) and Brazil (defending World Cup champion)
faced off in the much anticipated match at Tecamac. Mexico
was undefeated until now, but was unable to continue their
winning streak. They went down to Brazil 8 goals to 5.
In the 1st chukker, Mexico's Carlos Gracida Jr. and Ulysses
Escapite collided against each other. Although their were
no major injuries Carlos was unable to continue as he cut his
lip which would require stitches. Roberto Gonzalez Gracida,
Coach of the Mexican team had to replace Carlos (+1) and Ulysses
(+3) to keep the handicap level. In their place came Diego
Velarde and Jesus Solorzano. However, due to these changes
there was lack of coordination in the Mexican team which
contributed to their loss. Scorers for Mexico were Julio
Gracida in the third chukker, Valerio Aguilar with two goals in
the fourth chukker and Julio Gracida who scored two goals in the
last chukker. For Brazil Caio Siquini scored four goals, Pedro
Ganon with 3 and one for Renato Junqueira.
In the other games Spain defeated Canada (9-6), Chile
defeated New Zealand (14.5-6). Brothers Matias and Alejandro
Vial, and Recaredo Ossa excelled for Chile while Craig Wilson
and Robert Watson were instrumental for the Kiwis. In the other
inconsequential match South Africa defeated England (4.5-4).
