Elevation won the 14 goal Hindustan
Times Trophy defeating Jindal/Chougan at the Jaipur Polo
Ground in New Delhi.
The match was very hard fought. Jindal/Chougan was 12 goals teams and started
with 1.5 goal on handicap and Basheer Ali converted a 60 yard penalty whereas
for Elevation Gerardo Mazzini scored 2 goals in the 1st chukker. During 2nd
chukker Elevation scored 2 goals while Jindal/Chougan scored 3 goals. 3rd
chukker was not in favour of Jindal/Chougan in which they could not scored any
goal while Elevation scored 2 goals. The score was 5.5 to 6 goals in favour of
Elevation. During 4th chukker both teams scored 1 goal. The last chukker was
played at very fast pace. Both teams came forward with their best ponies and
both teams scored 2 goals each. The finals score was 9 goals to 8.5 in favour of
Elevation.

Mr Kunal Kapoor, Bollywood Actor gave away prizes to the players. Mr Hamza Ali
was awarded the Most Valuable Player and Migula, owned by Mr Satinder Garcha
adjudged the Best Polo Pony of the tournament.

First semi finals match was played between Jindal/Chougan and
Kingfisher First. Samir Suhag opened the account for Kingfisher
First by converting a 40 yard penalty and he again converted 30
yard penalty in the 2nd chukker whereas Jindal/Chougan being a
12 goal team and started with 1.5 goal on handicap and scored 2
goals in 2nd chukker. During 3rd chukker Kingfisher First scored
2 goals while Jindal/Chougan could not scored any goal. The
score was 4 to 3.5 in favour of Kingfisher First. During the
last chukker Basheer Ali got a spot hit and converted to enter
the finals.

Scorers for Kingfisher First: Samir Suhag (2), Angad Kalaan (2).
The second semi finals was played between Elevation and Cavalry
(Red). Elevation teams scored 2 goals in the 1st chukker and 3
goals in 2nd chukker and one goal in 3rd chukker whereas Cavalry
(Red) team being a 12 goal team started with 1.5 on handicap and
scored one goal in 1st chukker and 2 goals in 3rd chukker.
During 4th chukker both teams scored one goal each. The final
score was 7 to 5.5 in favour of Elevation.

Santinder Garcha (1).

Cavalry (Red) beat Kingfisher First by 8.5 goals to 6.
Kingfisher First scored 2 goals while Cavalry (Red) started with
1.5 goal on handicap and scored 2 goals in the first chukker.
During 2nd chukker Lt Col Tarun Sirohi scored 2 goals and Vishal
Singh scored one goal for Cavalry (Red) while Angad Kalaan
scored one goal for Kingfisher First. In the 3rd chukker both
teams scored one goal each. During the last chukker both teams
played superbly. Samir Suhag scored 2 goals for Kingfisher First
to reduced the margin 6 goals to 7.5 but during the last minutes
Vishal Singh scored one more goal for Cavalry (Red) to make for
final score 8.5 goals to 6.

Jindal/Chougan was 12 goal team and started with 1.5 goal on
handicap and scored 2 goals in the 1st chukker. In the 2nd
chukker both team scored one goal each. The score was 4.5 goals
to 4 at the half time. During 3rd chukker Jindal/Chougan scored
2 goals while Elevation scored one goal. In the last chukker
Elevation scored one goal and reduced the margin 6 to 6.5 but
thereafter Jindal/Chougan team scored three quick goals to make
the final score 9.5 to 6 in favour of Jindal/Chougan.
