Vishal Singh leads Cafe Kooba to victory over J. Dwarka's to win the Godfrey Phillips Cup played at the polo ground of the Jaipur Riding & Polo Club, Bindaiyka.

The finals for the Godfrey Phillips Cup was played between J. Dwarka's and Cafe Kooba where Cafe Kooba won 11.5 to 5. The Cafe Kooba team had an avantage of 1/2 goal then Vishal Singh went all out to score a hatrick and three more goals. Salim Azmi from Hyderabad scored one goal. Fateh Singh scored three goals and Arsalaan Khan scored one goal. As for the J. Dwarka's team, Vicky Nihalani scored a hat trick with one more goal and so did Gaurav Sehgal from Delhi score one goal. Mr. John Ayton did the throw in while Mrs Ayton and Princess Bhargavi Kumari of Udaipur gave away the prizes.

There was a clash between J. Dwarka's v/s Polywood, where J. Dwarka's beat Polywood 8 to 7. Vicky Nihalani made 3 goals while Gaurav Sehgal made a total of four goals, With Raza Shehzad from Hyderabad scoring one goal. And in the Polywood ream there was K V Singh who scored two goals, Himmat S. Bedla scored one goal and Dalip Singh scored three goals while the patron of the team D. Dhabariya made one goal.

The second match was played between Cafe Kooba and Coca Cola where Cafe Kooba beat Coca Cola 5 to 3 and entered the finals of the Godfrey Phillips Cup. Vishal Singh scored two goals for his team, Cafe Kooba, while Salim Azmi scored two more for Cafe Kooba and Arsalaan Khan scored one goal. For Coca Cola, one goal was scored by Om Singh while Dhananjay Singh scored two goals.

Polywood team started with a bang when K V Singh scored the first two goals, followed by Himmat Singh returning to Polo after a break and scoring two goals for the first chukker while the Clark's Amer team was still waiting to open scores. In the 2nd chukker, Aroonpal opened the scores for Clark's Amer followed by Himmat Singh of Polywood making two more goals for them. Soon Nitin from Clark's made his goal, followed by Ajit singh who made his two goals for the team. The 3rd chukker had Digvijay Dhabariya score one goal for Polywood, he is the patron for Polywood and the only active patron at the Bindaiyka ground this year. Ajit Singh Scored his team, the Clark's Amer team's 5th and last goal before Himmat Singh scored the Polywood team's 8th goal. The last chukker had Himmat Singh of Polywood score their 9th goal and a 10th goal from Dalip Singh but then the rains started and the game had to be ended. Polywood 10 - 5.

J. Dwarka's came all ready and took over the game from the 1st chukker itself. Gaurav Sehgal (+2) from Delhi started the chukker with a HAT TRICK, followed by Vicky Nihalani's (+2) one goal and another quick one from Gaurav Sehgal (+2). So they claimed their victory in the 1st chukker itself with 5 goals whereas the Clark's Amer was still waiting to open their scores. The 2nd chukker started with Clark's Amer team's Ajit Singh (+2) opening their scores with one goal to check that J. Dwarka's Team's Vicky Nihalani (+2) scored their team's 6th goal. The 3rd chukker saw one goal from Clark's Amer team's Nitin Golecha (+1) and none from J. Dwarka's. The last chukker had Clark's Amer's Zaheer Merchant (-2) score one goal and J. Dwarka's Gaurav Sehgal score one goal, making J. Dwarka's beat the Clark's Amer team with a score of 7-4.5.

The first game of the Season at the Jaipur Riding and Polo Club started with a fabulous show by Vishal Singh. The game started with Coca Cola making two goals and thereafter Vishal took his lead when Salim Azmi opened the goal score for Coca Cola. Soon Vishal scored 9 goals and ended with Fateh Singh taking one more to end at an unbeatable score of 11. Coca Cola didn't do too badly too when they began with Ransher opening their scores for them, followed by a quick goal by Dhananjay but they became a little slow after Vishal started scoring but ended at 5 goals.
