Bombay Bar Association Polo Team Triumphs over the Chantilly Polo
Team at Chantilly, France.
This summer the action on the Polo field took place in
Chantilly, France, when the Bombay Bar Association Polo Team,
comprising of Mr. Dinyar Madon, Mr. Shyam Mehta, Mr. Rahul
Dwarkadas and Mr. Shrinivas Bobde played a Polo Match against
the Polo Club de Chantilly on 6th June 2009.
The Bombay Bar Association gave the French team a half goal lead
on handicap. Dinyar Madon opened the account for the Bombay Bar
Association by scoring the first goal in the first chukker
itself. In the second chukkar the Bombay Bar Association kept up
the pressure with an onslaught of goals being scored by Dinyar
Madon, Shyam Mehta and Rahul Dwarkadas scoring a goal each.
Shrinivas Bobde scored in the third chukkar and Shyam Mehta put
in one more in the last.
By the end of the fourth chukkar, all the members of the Bombay
Bar Association Polo Team had scored goals with Shyam Mehta and
Dinyar Madon scoring twice each. Rahul Dwarkadas was unlucky in
as much as his 2nd goal was disallowed since it crossed the goal
line seconds after the final bell of the 1st chukkar. The French
Team managed to score only 1 goal, though they made a valiant
effort to try and match the 'in form' Bombay Bar Association
team.
In the final analysis the Bombay Bar Association won by 6 goals
to 1-1/2.
