Australia defeated USA 10-9 on day 8 of the
FIP Polo World Cup 2011 being played in San Luis, Argentina.

In the second match of the day scheduled as part of Polo World
Cup in San Luis that takes place at the Estancia Grande Polo
Club, the Australian team defeated United States and earned
their first victory in the tournament.
United States came to play their last World Cup match with the
firm intention to win and get their first win in this
tournament. USA was ahead in the score in all chukkers except
the second.
In the last two chukkers Australia made a comeback led by number
two Dirk Gould and the effective effective Matt Grimes, who
helped them clinch the win 10-9.
